What is Pre-placement Health Screening?

Pre-placement health screening involves assessing a candidate’s health status after they are offered and before they start their new role. This process helps identify any pre-existing conditions or health concerns that could impact their ability to perform job duties safely and effectively, or that might require reasonable adjustments.

It’s a proactive measure to prevent workplace injuries, manage health risks, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

A medical questionnaire review is included, but if needed, a more detailed assessment can be done with an occupational health clinician. This could be similar to a management referral and involve a more specific health history and assessment.

Pricing varies from a medical questionnaire review at £50 to a more detailed assessment at £275. Prices are dependent on the complexity of the case, the specific industry, and the health issues involved. If a face-to-face assessment is required, pricing will differ depending on the location and any additional examinations or tests.
